Kia Orana Carez. WOW! You certainly followed the instructions.Your words made me feel like I was in the story and I got a picture in my head as to what was happening.I'm glad that they were trying to help the animals and not make their species extinct.
The only thing I could suggest you do is not have such a big space between paragraphs.
